We are on the hunt for a Workshop Supervisor in the Bradford area. Workshop Supervisor would be working for a leading compression and pneumatics company who specialise in designing and manufacturing industrial motion control applications along with supplying air compressors, air tools, pneumatic and fluid power process products. This company is looking for a new member to join the team due to expansion. As a Workshop Supervisor you will need to come from a mechanical engineering background, have a track record of management in this environment, be competent in marking out and the use of hand tools and able to understand engineering and manufacturing drawings.


Salary will be £28k – £32K DOE
Working hours would be Monday – Thursday 7:30 – 4:00pm and Friday 7:30 – 3:30
22 days holiday per year rising to 25 after 5 years service, plus 8 statutory Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake working with a Engineers as may be required for the Commissioning of control systems.
  • Undertake general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a tidy and safe working environment.
  • Responsible for the quality control and inspection of all work under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
  • Liaise directly with the Engineering Manager on all workshop matters. This includes design, specification, parts and equipment requirements.
  • Undertake working with a Engineers as may be required for the installation of control systems.
  • Undertake the layout design (when required for bespoke units) & build of control panels / systems & sub assemblies.
  • Undertake the testing of sub-assemblies & control systems.
  • Allocation of work to other Team members as dictated by production schedules.

Experience required:

  • Must be willing to undertake training as required to meet job requirements
  • Must be fully conversant and competent in marking out and the use of hand tools.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering and manufacturers drawings would be a distinct advantage.
  • Must have experience in an engineering environment (Mechanical)




£28000.00 – £32000.00 / annum
