Workshop Inspector
We are on the hunt for a Workshop Inspector in the Halifax area. The Workshop Inspector would be working for a leading bespoke company who specialise in the precision industry and are looking for a new member to join the team due to expansion. As a Workshop inspector, you would need to have knowledge in operating Mitutoyo CMM systems, able to undertake first off inspections as well as final production inspections.
Benefits:
Salary: £13.88 – 14.83 p/h
Working hours: 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday & 8.00am to 2.30pm
Friday or 7.00 am and finish at 3.30 pm
Monday to Thursday and Friday start at 7.00 am – 1:00pm
Overtime is available at the discretion of management and paid at time and a half for anything
over 38 hours.
Holidays: 25 days Holidays including statutory
Duties and responsibilities:
- First off inspection
- Final production inspections
- Liaise with the shop floor on any corrective action required
- Write reports on the inspected components
- Generate NCR reports
- Calibration of the shop floor inspection equipment
Experience required:
- The ability to operate Mitutoyo CMM’s using COSMOS software
- Experienced in inspecting shafts and flanges
- Able to instruct others in what rectification and amendments needs to happen.
- Able use measuring equipment
