Brand new opportunity to join a well-established residential care company as their Internal Quality Assurance Manager (IQA). We are looking for an Internal Quality Assurance Manager to join the team and manage the quality and provision on the delivery up to Level 5 in Residential Childcare.

 

As Internal Quality Assurance Manager (IQA) you will be responsible for maintaining the quality of learning and assessment within the standards of quality assurance principles required by the Awarding Body. The Residential Childcare IQA shall be responsible for ensuring the promotion and communications of best practice principles throughout assessment and in line with Set Standards, OFSTED, Awarding Bodies, Funding, and other Regulatory Bodies. You will manage an allocated team of 4 assessors and carry out internal verification and moderation on qualifications.

 

Salary £28,000 – £33,000

Main Responsibilities:

·         Ensure the successful delivery of qualification outcomes in line with contractual requirements and individual Assessor target outcomes

·         Provide relevant information and guidance to Assessors and provide mentoring for all Assessors undertaking CPD

·         To attend sector specific CPD events and meetings to promote consistency throughout the Residential Childcare / Health & Social Care Assessment Team

·         Carry out assessor induction, training and development requirements are clearly defined, recorded, monitored and linked to the standards required by the awarding body and sector skills and undertake visits to learner’s place of work to carry out observations of assessment practice

·         Plan and prepare quality assurance activities and sampling of assessor decisions in line with the Centre risk management strategy – ensuring and demonstrating that assessment is valid and consistent through monitoring and sampling assessment decisions.

·         Carry out internal verification and support External Verifier (EV) visits through attendance

·         Carry out internal audits on contract compliance documentation and keep all required records up to date and accurate

 

Key Skills:

Relevant qualification – A1 / TAQA / V1 / D34 (Essential)
Previous experience working as an Internal Quality Assurance Manager (IQA) and managing a team of Assessors / Tutors
·         Sector based operational experience (Level 5 Residential Childcare)

·         Excellent communication skills and people management skills

·         Professionalism and credibility in managing internal and external relationships
