A great opportunity to join an Ofsted rated outstanding, Prime contract holder as their new Childcare Assessor. This is a remote Childcare Assessor role supporting learners in Cambridgeshire, as delivery is blended you will need to reside within a commutable distance of Peterborough / Wisbech.

Do you have previous occupational competency working within the Childcare Sector as well as experience qualifications up to and including Level 5? We are looking for a Childcare Assessor with strong sector-based experience, that can effectively manage a caseload of up to 42 learners.

Salary £27,000 – £31,000 per annum

Main responsibilities:

Assessing Childcare qualifications up to and including Level 5
Providing the required level of support for each Apprentice to enable timely successful completions
Ensuring learners remain on programme by regularly checking in and carrying out progress reviews, either remotely or in the workplace on a 1:1 basis
Preparing apprentices for their End Point Assessment (EPA) and supporting with the 20% off the job training
Assessing all work via an e-portfolio system
Embedding Functional in all programs of study
Successfully retaining a caseload of up to 40 learners
Attending a minimum of 3 full team meetings at head office per year
Maintaining accurate records in line with the provider’s administrative policies and procedures
Regularly reviewing learner progress and achievement, implementing additional support where needed
Preserve up to date knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Responsible for personal ongoing CPD and keeping up to date with any changes within the sector

Skills and experience:

Assessors qualification (A1 / TAQA)
Relevant qualification – Level 3 Childcare / Early Years
Teaching or equivalent qualification (CERT ED / PTTLS / CTTLS / QTS Status)
Relevant occupational experience in childcare (ideally managerial / team leader experience)
Previous delivery of framework and new standards
Up to date with all relevant changes within the Training & Education sector – funding / qualifications / eligibility
Previous use of e-portfolio systems
Strong communicator, able to effectively manage a caseload of apprentices and demonstrate good time management skills
