We have a fantastic opportunity paying up to £32,000 + bonuses for a Level 5 qualified Residential Childcare Assessor based in the West Midlands.

 This is predominantly a work from home based role, with minimal travel within the Midlands as and when required.

Residential Childcare Assessor duties:

  • Successfully delivering Childcare qualifications on the residential pathway up to Level 5
  • Providing the required level of support for each Apprentice to enable timely successful completions 
  • Ensuring learners remain on programme by regularly checking in and carrying out progress reviews, either remotely or in the workplace on a 1:1 basis
  • Prepare learners for the end point assessment (EPA) and set SMART targets to support them to achieve on time
  • Maintaining regular contact with employers during the whole of the learning journey, keeping momentum and energy throughout the qualification
  • Working to overcome any barriers to learning and adapting delivery to meet learner’s needs
  • Comply with and follow all processes within Safeguarding guidelines, ensuring the safety of all learners is paramount
  • Ensuring learner files are fully compliant and up to date
  • Be responsible for completing and maintaining appropriate internal and external quality standards


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Tutor / Assessor (any of the following (CAVA, A1, PTLLS, EAT, D32 etc)
  • Relevant occupational competency within the Care sector
  • Knowledge of the new standards and supporting learners in the run up to the End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Up to date knowledge of all relevant changes within the Training & Education sector – funding / qualifications / eligibility
  • Strong communicator, able to effectively manage a caseload of apprentices and demonstrate good time management skills
