Business Development Manager – Northeast – Up to £42,000 + fantastic bonus


Business Development Manager – A brief overview 

·         Full time, permanent position for Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager that is responsible for targeting new business customers and managing key accounts within a specified territory. The successful candidate will manage the integration of company professionals and manufacturers’ representatives within their designated area. Previous experience selling within the engineering sector is extremely advantageous.


BDM responsibilities

·         Report to and work closely alongside the Regional Field Sales Manager to identify and secure new business across a specified geographical region (North East)

·         Establish, develop and maintain strong, long term relationships with clients

·         Prepare and deliver quotations accurately and within the agreed timeframe, in line with company procedures

·         Working towards and exceeding where possible weekly and monthly sales targets

·         Identifying the need within an organisation for services offered and tailor sales approach to appointed key decision maker

·         Contributing to and improving operational and business sales strategy

·         Maintaining an up-to-date pipeline and utilising the company CRM to keep records of client transactions and interactions

·         Communicating client needs to relevant departments and escalating where necessary

·         Ensuring personal responsibility for your own levels of activity, managing your diary and attending meetings with both new and existing clients#

·         Attend regular team meetings to discuss territory and what resources are needed to achieve growth plans
