Assistant Transport Coordinator role available – Based in the YO17 area – Full time permanent – £25,000

Are you looking for a Full-time position as an Assistant Transport Coordinator for a farmer-owned and controlled agricultural merchants? They supply animal feeds and all other farm requisites throughout Lancashire, Cumbria, North Midlands, Wales & Scotland. To be a Assistant Transport Coordinator you will need to have previous knowledge in Transport and general administration Duties, you will also need to be confident on the phone.

£25,000 Per annum

40 hours per week

Duties and responsibilities:

·         Plan activities related to despatching, routing, and tracking for bulk, contain-sider and bottled gas deliveries.

·         Managing drivers start and finish times to ensure maximum availability to complete the plan

·         Providing general office administrative duties as and when required

·         Assistance on transport and mill departments

·         Ensuring all vehicles are filled to the correct weights and overloaded

·         Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints, ensuring that excellent customer service is provided

·         Liaising with production planning to ensure that all orders can be delivered and work together to cause minimum disruption due to changes

·         Liaising with mill staff re production of finishing animal feed products to ensure efficient bulk feed delivery schedule across the BATA Group

·         Assist with Management compliance records regarding driver and maintenance issues and liaise with company transport manager

·         Maintaining and creating new customer relationships

·         Ad hoc tasks required

Requirements:

•                     Previous sales experience

•                     Good Attention to detail

•                     Good customer service skills

•                     Ability to deal with stressful environments sometimes
